Mr. James Chandler

Workshop Facilitator & Design Thinking Expert

James is the Head of Computer Science and Design Technology Faculty at BVIS.

Originally from the UK, James began his career as a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer. However, he soon realised that education, like his parents, was closer to his heart. James earned a BSc in Education specialising in Design Technology and ICT from the University of Wales.

After four years in Tewkesbury, he moved to India, where he served as Head of Department at Pathways World School. Following that, James spent eight years at BIS in leadership roles before taking a year off to ride a motorcycle from Alaska to Argentina. Since joining BVIS four years ago, he has led the growth of the Design Technology department.

James greatly admires James Dyson, and his quote about perseverance and failure shaping success resonates with him. His focus is on fostering creativity and innovation, equipping students with skills for the future.
